Ask Alice




Sass Cocker is the designer behind Melbourne based label Ask Alice. Ask Alice is an eco-friendly stationery label; all products are made from recycled paper and card. All prints are produced using vegetable based inks and the packaging is made from biodegradable materials. Sass's ethos is very much, design it in Melbourne - produce it in Melbourne, it's all about being kind to the environment. We currently have a fun range of Ask Alice cards and mini books (featured above) in store ranging between $5- $10. So whether you're looking for a gift or a little something for yourself there's plenty to suit everyone.


Emily Green



Melbourne based designer Emily Green mixes geometric shapes with exciting colours and contrasting patterns to form harmonious designs. Emily is based in Melbourne's inner north and says that her surrounding are her inspiration. Her current collection of one off brooches are designed and handmade by Emily in her Thornbury home studio. All are in store now.


Mister


Nick Cooke is a graphic designer who creates timeless pieces under the label Mister. Each watch is carefully handcrafted in Nick's Melbourne studio using a simple black Casio watch as the base. Nick then incorporates his own original designs into the face of the watch. Muscrats Vintage commissioned the current Autumn/Winter 2011 range in store now. The watches featured above were inspired by winter hues, morning light, early sunsets and inspiring knitted fabrics.

Kester Black


New Zealand born now Melbourne based jewellery designer Anna Ross is the name behind the label Kester Black. Anna's passion for incorporating nature into her work is evident in her highly sort-after collection maiden voyage where rope and carved wood form life like animal figurine necklaces. Anna produces two collections a year in compliance with the fashion seasons. Muscrats Vintage currently stocks the A/W11 range - Kingdom of the Illuminated and her first line - Maiden Voyage.


Herbert Made


Hobby jeweller Evianne Camille creates fun, easy to wear bracelets and necklaces from her home in Brunswick. Her current range combines wooden vintage domino's and silver chain to form a unique and timeless necklaces with a very Melbourne feel.


Zip Zip


Edmund Griffith is the brain child behind the always entertaining Zip Zip brand. Melbourne based lad Ned pushes the boundaries when it comes to functionality and aesthetics in the portable USB world. We stock the super popular Zip Zip's in a rainbow of colours as well as the newest addition to the Zip Zip family - the glow in the dark version. Each colour comes in 4GB, 8GB & 16 GB. We also stock their Nano Critter series. The tiny build yourself animals are an ideal affordable gift for all ages.


Shabana Jacobson











Fitzroy based artist and jewellery designer Shabana Jacobson creates wearable art in the form of necklaces, earrings and brooches. Her paintings, prints and sketches are incorporated into her earlier works. Her newest range of sterling silver earrings and necklaces feature organic, bauble forms carefully crafted into contemporary handmade pieces.


Once











New kid on the block Lorne Chaston is the designer behind label Once. Lorne works from his Northcote studio to produce high quality guys t-shirts. These incorporate imaginative motifs with a simple colour palette to achieve a unique wearable garment. His first range compliments the Melbourne style philosophy - black, white or grey is okay.

Grab these little beauties while you can only five original, one off t-shirt's left in this limited edition run. Benjamin O'Toole's Fitzroy based studio is where all the magic happens. Combining vintage flannel fabrics with quality T-shirts - his designs are original and compliment a casual style.

Coastwood




















Plants bring energy and life to indoor spaces and outdoor entertaining areas. Carl Muscat works with recycled boardwalk hardwood timber to create unique designs. His attention to detail is evident in every special one off handmade pot he produces. His limited edition run of handmade wreaths ooze understated simplicity. The wreaths are constructed from Muscat Grape vines grown in his beach side home garden. These make an excellent wall features for balconies or indoor spaces.
